Laptop Schools, a Seal Beach company  is looking for 1 or 2 “Independent Interns” to be paid for work that includes answering phones, customer service, data entry, e-mail correspondence, filing, shipping and more. Over a 4 year period, the right person will receive additional experience in sales, marketing, event coordination, technical support, problem solving, customer relationship management and business development. The job may include out of state travel 1-3 times per year.
These positions work well with a college and/or high school schedule. You get to make your own hours, based on your schedule. The amount of work available is approximately 8 hours per week when school is in session, full time during the summer and we offer extra projects during school breaks. Work can be done from remote or at our office in Los Alamitos.
If you are a prompt, reliable person that is a conscientious fast learner and places value in clear communication, accuracy in what you do and you have the ability to complete a task without someone looking over your shoulder, this might be a good opportunity for you. Keep in mind that this is an “Independent Contractor” position; you will be responsible for your own schedule and your own taxes. We do not pay for benefits nor do we offer any type of retirement program. You will be required to bill the company weekly for your work, and you will be paid an agreed upon hourly rate and at the end of each year you will receive a 1099 form for your income and will be responsible for filing and paying your own state and federal taxes.
