Our hometown favorite, Beachwood BBQ, is featured in this month’s Entrepreneur Magazine.   This local hot spot, famous not only for it’s BBQ but it’s selection of rare and unique Microbrews is now getting attention from around the country for it’s live “Hopcam”.

The owners of Beachwood BBQ decided to set up the “Hopcam”after finding that updating the website daily was too big of a task.   By setting up a live cam, website visitors are now able to visit the  Beachwood BBQ website any time of day to see the selection of beers on tap.  See Hop Cam here.    Seems this feature is a hit and not just for Seal Beach locals.   According to the article in Entrepreneur, the owners were suprised to receive emails from people on the East Coast saying they check the Hopcam everyday!

To read the full article in Entrepreneur click here.   To get a taste of Beachwood’s delicious BBQ or any of the beers on tap, just head down to 131 ½ Main St. in Seal Beach.

According to a report by ABC7, beaches along the coast in Long Beach are still closed today, due to sewage contamination.  The beach became contaminated on Saturday after sewage spilled out of manhole cover in Pasadena and flowed into the Los Angeles river which ultimately drains in Long Beach.   Experts estimate 22,000 gallons of sewage overflowed due to a back up in the sewer system blamed on a grease plug.   To read more about the ABC report visit ABC7.
