Matisse
Matisse is a sweet little gem. She was a stray being cared for by someone who regretfully didn’t have room for another cat. Although it has taken Matisse a little while to relax and trust us, her care-giver reports that she was an absolute love and once she gets purring, she’s a “drooler!” Drooler fans out there know what we’re talking about

This is one wonderful hunk of man! Maxwell tips the scales at 23 pounds, but it’s 23 pounds of pure love. He is very shy but as soon as you start to pet him, he revs up his engine and purrs like a motor boat! Max would like to find a new home as soon as possible because he’s got a lot of love to give.

The Orange County Sierra Club sponsors the “Shipley Nature Center to the Beach” Walking Tour on Saturday, April 4.
In conjunction with Centennial Earth Month. You’ll walk a moderately paced 7 mile hike with almost no gain in Huntington Beach as the city celebrates ‘Earth Month”. Meet 9 am at the picnic shelter near the café called “Breakfast in the Park” near the lake in Huntington Central Park. You can take the bus to the park or park your car at the corner of Lakeview Dr. and Central Park Dr. We will hike through an urban forest to the beach and over the bridge to the new ocean inlet to a rest stop. Bring water, lunch and sturdy shoes. Rain cancels. Leaders Stephanie and Ed Pacheco

Kitten Calypso
Calypso was rescued by a workman who he heard a kitten crying in the ceiling and got him out. He was only 2 weeks old and immediately went into foster care where he thrived on lots of love and attention. He is a sweet, playful little fellow who loves other cats and people. One of his favorite play toys is a little mouse that he will bat and carry around in his mouth. He really needs the companionship of another kitty & will be a wonderful addition to any home, he has lots of love to give.

Kitten Gracie
Gracie had quite a tough start in life. She arrived at only 4 weeks old with a very serious injury to her tail. The tail couldn’t be saved and was surgically removed. Our little lady was very strong and managed to charm all of her caretakers in the process. Gracie is a little sweetheart who desperately wants a home and the companionship of another kitty. Do you have room for one more snugglebunny?
