The anticipated sale of the Boeing Aircraft plant to Long Beach Studios LLC has been delayed.  Boeing Realty spokesman Glen Golightly told LBreport.com Sunday (March 8th, 2009) that the proposed sale had fallen out of escrow.  Mr. Golightly stated, “We’re continuing to talk with Long Beach Studios but we also want to put the property on the market.”

Jay Samit, Former Executive Vice President of Sony Corporation of America and now CEO of Long Beach Studios, confirmed the statements released by Boeing Realty and adds that he is continuing to work with Boeing and his goal is still to complete the transaction this month.

Long Beach Studios is scheduled to launch this spring.  Once completed Long Beach Studios will be the largest independent production company in the world.  As stated on the website www.lbstudiosllc.com, “With 40 sound stages ranging in size from 12,000 to 200,000 square feet, and over 300,000 square feet of full-service rental office space, Long Beach Studios has the facilities to match the requirements and budget of any size production.”
